Customer service is the ability of an organization to constantly and consistently give the customer what they want and need. The mission of this company when it was founded here in Osterville over 80 years ago was to serve the customers with honest, affordable and reliable service. Over the years we have made an effort to provide the best service possible to our customers.
It is the people of the company that determines its success. We still remain a family run corporation with an extremely highly trained group of professional technicians. As a company, we are making a promise to consistently deliver quality service to you. Over the eighty years in business our customers have come to rely on it. Simply seeing the logo or hearing the name tells our customers the product or service is worth the investment.
Meet the Foremen
Plumbing, New Construction and Remodels
Shaun has been with Riedell’s for 10 years and holds his Master Plumbers License. Shaun started off here at Riedell’s as a plumber in the field and has now moved to the foreman position. Shaun’s detailed estimates and knowledge about each and every one of his customer’s jobs proves that you are in good hands when Shaun is on the job.
Heating (Hydronic Air, Radiant heat, forced hot water heating, geothermal)
Rick – Another Riedell employee carrying over 36 years of experience in the plumbing and heating field. Rick has been with Riedell’s for over 15 years. In addition to holding a plumbing license, oil burner license, Geothermal certification, and radiant heat experience, Rick carries certifications with heating system installations for Rinnai tankless systems, Buderus boilers, Systems 2000, Weil McLain, Burnham, and Munchkin.
HVAC (Air conditioning, forced hot air heating, indoor air quality)
Dick – Being such a fabulous addition to the Riedell Team, Dick holds over 30 years experience in hot air heating and indoor air quality. Dick listens to what his customers want and he works hard to produce just that!
Advanced Water Systems (water filtrations installations and maintenance)
In the 1980’s Carl F. also started the Advanced Water Systems department whose focus is addressing common Cape Cod water problems including acidity, iron, and nitrates (to name a few). For those who want contaminant free drinking water, we provide Reverse Osmosis Drinking Water Systems which eliminate the need to buy and carry expensive and heavy bottled water. Water testing is performed by a state certified lab at no charge to our clients. Once the results are in we recommend the right system for the problem, always keeping in mind our clients budget. Call the office to schedule an appointment for a free water test. We are staffed by insured and licensed plumbers that are factory trained Certified Water Treatment Specialists. The department has installed over 2000 systems from Provincetown to Boston to the islands.
With recent boil water orders imposed in various water districts due to the presence of e-coli and coliform bacteria, our Advanced Water Systems department can install an ultra-violet light and sediment filter where your water enters your home. The UV Light will kill the bacteria and provide you with piece of mind for you and your family.
Part’s Department
Riedell’s will also assist customers with the Part’s Department. Either call in advance and speak with our part’s manager or just stop in for any plumbing, heating, air conditioning, or water filtration parts. If we don’t have it in stock, we’ll get it for you!

From seasonal house checks to gutter cleanings, snow plowing to lawn mowing, to any old odd and end, Cornerstone Property Management is just a phone call away! “Company History”
In 1932, during the Great Depression, Carl F. Riedell and his wife Ethel started the company. Together they ran the company out of the home they built in Osterville, while raising a family of six children. In 1972, Carl S. Riedell bought the company from Carl F. and Ethel. Though Carl S. still owns the company, he steps aside for his son Guy (Carl A.) to take over the family business.
Currently Riedell employs approximately 25 people. Our staff includes 3 foreman, 4 master plumbers, 15 MA licensed employees and 4 office administrators, each of whom takes great pride in keeping Riedell customers happy.
Riedell spends over $15,000 a year on training for its employees in order to remain on the cutting edge of current technology. Assisting Cape Cod Regional Technical High School and Upper Cape Cod Regional Technical School by allowing students to complete their Cooperative Education portion of their program, Riedell’s is able to help younger generations to start off on the right track when they enter the plumbing, heating or HVAC field.
A Note From Guy:
Though our company has been through many ups and downs for over three generations, we remain to be strong and competent. I am proud to be given the opportunity to carry on the Riedell business for my grandparents, Carl and Ethel, who started the company in 1932.

Our labor rate is $120.00/hour with a one hour minimum and 15 minute increments thereafter. Overtime rate is $180.00/hour.
